Dive gear
Because you do not want to scuba dive without the proper
dive gear, it is important to know what equipment you should have before
you go. Use the following list as a checklist before you go. You will
need:
• Gear bag – Having a bag for dive gear is important because
you need to organize what you have. Experts advise putting all of your
gear in the same spots in the bags each time you dive in order to be
able to efficiently keep track of it.
• Snorkel – Snorkeling is a part of diving, even though
it might seem an opposite. If you have an air tank, it is obvious that
there is only so much air in it. It is best to save this air for the
times when diving deep. This means you can conserve this air by using
the snorkel as you are closer to the top of the water level.
• Gloves – The water can get pretty chilly, even in the
warmest of climates. While the sun’s energy keeps the water’s
surface pretty warm, as you continue to dive deeper, you may begin to
notice that things can get chilly pretty quickly.
• Weights and weight belt –There are some who get a rush
out of getting as deep as they can as quickly as they can. This is a
dangerous practice that really nobody should attempt. While these divers
use weights, the weights can also be sued by people who consider themselves
to be not great swimmers who feel like they just might need a little
help getting to where they want to go.
• Dive light – Just as the temperature drops the deeper
you get into the water, the light also gets scarcer. Diving with a dive
light can be a lifesaver when you get into deep, murky waters.
• Dive watch – These are some of the coolest watches you
can have. Truly they are more like personal computers then watches.
They can keep track of depth in the water, heart rate, water temperature
and many other vital things a diver might need to know.
Having this dive gear and knowing how to use it will make your trips
into the sea safer and more relaxing for you.
